Photovoltaic (BIPV) Green Roofs

If you are wanting active solar roofing, we recommend an amorphous system, which looks like regular metal roofing, and consists of a thin film laminated directly onto the metal roofing surface. These are commonly referred to as building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems because they are an integral part of the roof, rather than being just mounted onto the roof.

The advantages of these systems are:

• Serve as the roofing material itself and provide solar gain.
